The Catholic Church has known for centuries that abstinence among their clergy had disastrous results for many of the children in their parishes. Finally, in the later 20th century, after years of denial and protection by the church, these pedophile priests were identified, with only a handful of them being brought to justice.
Today, the very same man who knew of the abuse of children that went on for years with the sanction of the church, is now Pope and says that all pedophile priests will be prosecuted by the law.
This is a serious case of too little, too late!
